Meet our Instructor & Massage Specialist, Dr.Kusai Abidin

Dr.Kusai Abidin, Thai massage Instructor, specialist and Reflexologist.

 In Thailand and China known by the name of Dr.Kicho. 

Kusai Abidin, hold a PhD from the U.K.  in Physical Science and a degree in Business administration from the USA.

Since the age of 18 years old and during his studies he was always interested in the Eastern Traditions and he joined many courses in order to educate himself about the oriental traditions and sports.  

After his graduation from the U.K. in 1980, He joined a trading company and was sent a lot to the Far East. In 1985, during his several business trips to the Far East (Singapore, China, Thailand, India, Malaysia and Japan) he started to get interested in the Eastern Medicine and especially the kind in The Kingdom of Thailand (The Traditional Thai Massage –Called in Thailand the Nuad Bo Rarn). 

In 1995 he decided to join the 2 courses for the Thai massage in Thailand  while he was stationed there and  took a part time job doing massage in different places in Bangkok, Thailand (for about one year) to gain the secrets of this art.  

In 2000 he completed the Healing Hand Massage program, which teaches The Traditional Acupressure Treatment, in China while he was stationed there.

In 2001, He specialized in Thai Massage, Sen Treatment (Nuad Bo Rarn) and completed

Different courses in Thailand to become as a Thai Massage Teacher. 

He completed the following courses:

Healing Hand Massage program, The Traditional Chinese Acupressure Treatment - China

Thai Reflexology Course (Foot massage) - Thailand.

Thai Reflexology Course (Hand massage) - Thailand.

 Thai Reflexology Course (Face and head massage) - Thailand.

Nerve – Touch Massage Course - Thailand.

Aromatherapy course-Thailand.

Thai Chair massage course-Thailand.

Thai Herb Treatment methods course, - north of Thailand.

Traditional Thai Massage courses (Called in Thailand the Nuad Bo Rarn) total of 13 courses with different schools, In the North of Thailand (Chiang Mai). In Bangkok .In the south of Thailand (Pataya). 

Joined two special courses in two temples in Thailand to learn more about this fine art of Thai massage from his master.

Dr.Abidin with his hard working ability gained from his practice and experience, managed to create his TMCA institute in Thailand and created his own courses to pass his knowledge to his students and people interested in Thai massage in many countries. His courses reached a total of 13 courses, and given to students in a very simple and relaxing way of teaching, supported by the latest computer presentations visual methods with lots of practical and supervised work.

In 2003, TMCA was unique in its kind of being the only mobile institute in the world, and teachers can be sent any where to teach TMCA courses.

Dr.Abidin introduced the Thai Massage to the Middle East by   joining   the Warriors Academy in Kuwait and the Olympic health club as an Instructor for Thai Massage and as a Massage Specialist, during this period he improved his own program to help his students to understand this Art, and TMCA courses became a very known and a well organized program with scientific methods and special techniques. Also he improved TMCA the special Thai Yoga classes for the benefit of his students, as it helps them a lot during their practice.  

In 2004, TMCA managed to graduate more than 400 students and most of them managed to work in many spa’s, and massage institutes in 7 countries. Among these graduates, some were already was working in a well known resorts ,hotels and spa’s as massage therapist using Swedish massage techniques.

Between 2001 and 2004, He gave many seminars and demonstrations for the Thai Massage in the Middle East (Kuwait, Dubai, Beirut and Amman).Also many Newspapers and magazines interviewed Dr.Abidin and wrote about Thai massage and its benefits.

Since his graduation from Thailand, he treated many odd cases in the Middle East, using the Thai Massage techniques. 

In 2004, Dr. Abidin returned to Canada to join his massage therapy course in Ottawa to know more about the western massage (Swedish massage) and transferred TMCA activities to Canada.

In 2006, he became certified in Massage therapy and graduated from CDI –Ottawa.

Now he is involved in Thai massage activities in the city of Ottawa in Canada, in order to introduce this fine art and traditional massage to the people of  OTTAWA, HULL, GATINEAU AND MONTREAL and offering his TMCA courses in Canada and other parts of the world.
